Dress For Less.
The building that houses the shopping center was formerly a Hecht Company department store, the first suburban Washington, D.C. branch of that company, which opened in 1947. In 1992 the building was turned into City Place Mall.
In 2015 the previous owner did extensive renovations to the shopping mall and rebranded it into, Ellsworth Place. In 2018 GBT Realty Corporation purchased the center and is currently bringing in new and exciting tenants, while doing more renovations.
Current Ellsworth Place retail anchors include Burlington Coat Factory, Michael's, Dave & Buster's, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross Dress for Less. Also there is an exciting row of street-level shops, including PNC Bank, Chipotle Mexican Grill, McGinty's Public House, Not Your Average Joe’s, and Ben & Jerry's.
